The Adventures of Our Heroes - Part I
Sit back, grab a pint (or maybe a few)
And listen to a tale of a mighty crew.
On a journey so noble from Windsong Abbey
Left an unlikely group of adventurers three.
Little Isri the bard, the fiery healer, Kyra and the mighty Thorgood
Started making their way through a treacherous wood.
T'was the day before Fall
And our heroes were certain that they'd seen it all.
But then they saw Gharn – a fighter AND half-orc.
Escorting Pais, a church man, and getting paid for his work.
Since all were heading to Sandpoint for the Swallowtail Fest
Gharn offered our heroes coin if they'd help with the rest.
Now five – the group continued a while
Until Isri smelled a smell worse than Digester bile.
She, Thorgood and Gharn went to find the odour of fail
Leaving the church folk alone on the trail.
When they got to the source what did they witness?
OH! That goblins had caused the most horrible distress!!
A man that was slaughtered – dead amongst the trees
And a poor dog murdered and cut up .... even his fleas.
If goblins got to Sandpoint it would be not so great actually.
So our heroes hurried to warn them and avert tragedy.
In Sandpoint they arrived, the warning was relayed
But nobody wanted the festival delayed.
Swallowtail began, the cathedral was about to be consecrated....
Then began the song that everyone hated.....
Goblins chew and goblins bite.
Goblins cut and goblins fight.
Stab the dog and cut the horse,
Goblins eat and take by force!
Goblins race and goblins jump.
Goblins slash and goblins bump.
Burn the skin and mash the head,
Goblins here and you be dead!
Chase the baby, catch the pup.
Bonk the head to shut it up.
Bones be cracked, flesh be stewed,
We be goblins! You be food!
The goblins were many – their torches were bright.
But our heroes were ready – they just had to fight.
A poor mule was scared and crushing pawns with his cart.
Kyra saved the day with her fiery art.
Thorgood and Gharn used their mighty might
And little Isri sang songs to boost everyone's fight.
Sandpoint was saved! The townsfolk could return.
(Except for those whose homes had been burned)
There we go, that is all for tonight.
Tomorrow we'll learn some more of this exploit
How our heroes had earned the townspeople's love
Especially that of Mr. Aldren Foxglove.
